The orte-podcast – an immediate encounter with literature

The podcast “Föhnrausch” is based on the orte edition of the same name, which features literary texts on alpine phenomena from the summer of 2025. It is a collaborative project between the Urner Institute Kulturen der Alpen, the music festival “Alpentöne,” and the literary magazine orte.

Founding of the «AlpKultUR» association

Thanks to the Uri-based Institute for Alpine Cultures in Altdorf, the canton of Uri has also established itself as a well-recognised centre of higher education. The institute – and, by extension, Uri as a centre for research – is now receiving additional support: the ‘AlpKultUR’ Friends’ Association was founded on 25 June 2026. Beat Jörg serves as its president.
