"In five chapters Mahlknecht analyzes with a sharp pen what drives people to the mountains, where this leads and what tourism to Corona could look like," wrote the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung about the book "Berg and Breakfast" by Selma Mahlknecht. Together with the author, historians Kurt Gritsch and Valentin Groebner discuss this "panorama of tourist longings and disillusionments" that Selma Mahlknecht unfolds. Based on book excerpts, the panel discussion revolves around the questions of what it is that makes the mountains so fascinating, why people go on trips, what guest work and guest labor mean, what it is like to live where others go on vacation, and what the further prospects for tourism are. The panel will be followed by a discussion with the audience.
