The forum offers space for public discourse with regular public events, dialog projects, excursions, book presentations and other formats at the interface between science and art, but also between theory and practice. The institute's own online magazine "Syntopia Alpina" publishes articles from various disciplines. They deal with the future of Alpine regions and with sustainable initiatives in the interaction of various demands on the shared space, for example in Alpine farming, resource use, biodiversity or climate protection. The "Uri in Transition" project strengthens the dialog between research, politics and local society.
