Photovoltaics to strengthen regional and national energy self-sufficiency

Alona Bilokon's project, funded by an Excellence Scholarship from the Swiss Confederation, aims to present an expansion plan for renewable energy sources - especially photovoltaics - in the Mykolayiv region to local leaders. For this purpose, the historian and political advisor, who comes from southern Ukraine, analyses the technical possibilities, political processes and related discourses in Switzerland with regard to the expansion plans for high alpine photovoltaics. She complements this focus with empirical knowledge in agrivoltaics in Germany and Austria.
