Book presentation "Grenzgänge - Religion und die Alpen" Lugano

The book «Grenzgänge - Religion und die Alpen» is the result of an inter- and transdisciplinary research project with experts from the fields of religious studies, cultural and literary studies, theology, philosophy, ethnology and history, who examine selected facets of the relationship between religion and the Alps. Each contribution is located in a specific place in the Alps, so that a ‘journey’ is also possible: the book invites you to visit selected places in Bavaria, various cantons in Switzerland, Italy and Austria and to consider the different and common aspects of religious practices, communities and tradition. 

«Grenzgänge - Religion und die Alpen», edited by Anna-Katharina Höpflinger, Daria Pezzoli-Olgiati, Boris Previšić, Marco Volken and with photographs by Marco Volken will be presented at in the Biblioteca Salita dei Frati Lugano on 1 April 2025.
