«When I was young...», «When I'm old...»: Intergenerational relations in Uri – yesterday, today, and tomorrow

On November 8, 2025, a morning of panel discussions, stories, and pictures will take place in Unterschächen. The project Uri in Transition – Population and Science in Dialogue, supported by the Uri Institute for Alpine Cultures, is dedicated this year to intergenerational relationships and is organizing this public event. Short historical inputs, panel discussions with guests from Unterschächen, voices from students at Schächental schools, and other program items will make for a varied event that encourages those present to exchange ideas on this complex topic.
