21. April 2026
At the HSLU DFK and at the Kulturkloster Altdorf
How can wool production contribute to sustainable development in Alpine regions and support the establishment of a regional circular economy? What conditions are necessary for sustainable production, processing and marketing? And to what extent can the combination of regional resources, traditional practices, contemporary design and modern technology serve as a real-world laboratory and open up new prospects for innovation and value creation in the Alpine region?
These questions will be discussed in the context of various practical examples and research projects during the two-part event ‘Wool of the Future’. The projects Feral Wool (Kompetenzzentrum für Innovationsökosysteme in Bergregionen, Universität Bozen) and Preferred Fiber Lab (Forschungsgruppe Produkt und Textil, HSLU DFK) will provide impetus.
The findings will be discussed in a multi-stakeholder setting on Alpine regional development and will serve as a working basis for the concept development of a Future Wool Hub.
All further information and the programme can be found in the flyer.
